After School Drama Immersion Program
Teaching Artist
2004 Creating an after school drama workshop; directing original student inspired scenes for a junior high school multi-cultural program for the spring of 2004.
2003 Co-teaching a process oriented after school class for students aged 9-11 using theatre games and exercises that focused on the exploration and application of character traits such as: responsibility, citizenship, fairness, trustworthiness and respect with a final sharing presented to their peers, parents and teachers.
2002 Directed an all-school (junior high students) performance of the musical The Wiz collaborating with the school musical director and art teacher and puppet maker to involve students in every aspect of the production.
2001 Developed an after school program for junior high school students using physical and vocal warm-ups, lead-in and main activities, journal entries and closing rituals in a workshop setting. The process was focused on creating an original performance piece, written by the students using their journal entries as a final sharing.

Developed a curriculum for a six week program with students ranging in age from six to eighteen incorporating the use of journals, physical and vocal warm-ups and a variety of theatre games used to develop attention, focus, articulation, projection and imagination skills.
